The most lovely genuine, kind horse who has a very laid back temperament and attitude to life.
Hacks alone or in company, good in all traffic. Never known him to nap/ buck/ spin/ rear. Will ride and lead, do gates and go first or last.
I’ve owned him since October last year, 2 weeks after his last race. I’ve taken him on fun rides, hound exercise and hunting with the Cottesmore and Quorn a handful of times. He has always been very well behaved, jumped hedges and timber, never says no. His only fault is he is quite strong, not a runaway but enjoys his job!
He’s seen xc fences and is unphased by ditches and water.
Schools well on the flat but still unbalanced in canter.
Has jumped round all my bright jump 4 joy fillers, never looks at anything and is pretty careful over poles.
For sale as he is unsuited by our heavy Leicestershire ground. I’ve got him for team chasing and hunting and as we look set for another wet team chase season, I unfortunately don’t have a job for him. He was a summer horse in his racing days and his action simply doesn’t suit the deep going.
He had the ligament cut in his back for Kissing Spine a couple of years ago. He shows no sign of this bothering him and requires no special treatment for it.
He also had both front legs fired in 2018, has raced many times since with no further problems.
For the above reasons I am not looking for a substantial amount of money for him and I am open to offers, the home is far more important than anything else but I will not loan him. Racing owners would like to keep tabs on his whereabouts.
He is good to box, shoe, clip and catch. Has no vices or hang ups. A complete gentleman who I let my 5yo daughter lunge and handle!
He’s not fully fit, as due to the weather/ ground I’ve only been lightly hacking him a couple of times a week.
Has had the dentist and routine physio in the last 6 months.
